Hello and Welcome!
My name is Jennifer Wilcox and with the help of my husband George and my wonderful family, I'm the prelim-director for the "Elite Miss Ashe County" pageant. I hope you enjoy our site and we encourage you to take part in one of our pageants and hopefully become apart of our royal family. "I believe every child is special and we should always encourage them to be all that they can be."

Our Goal

Our goal is to promote self-esteem in younger youth and promote a healthy environment for them to take part in pageants. We hope that every child who competes has fun, makes memories, and more importantly make new friends!

Feb.  2010, Terrie will be holding Elite Miss of the Carolina's.
 
  "Elite Miss Ashe County Pageant"  has been postponed until, a future reset date can be set once all days have been made up and/or school has been completed. This way it poses no conflicts of interest for anyone. Email will be sent detailing new date.
 
July 10th, 2010, Jennifer will be holding the "Elite Miss American Pride Beauty" Pageant

QUEEN OF QUEENS

  • What is the requirements to compete for this special honor?
  1. YOU MUST BE A OUTGOING QUEEN ON ONE OF THE PRELIMS......ELITE MISS ASHE COUNTY COUNTY...............ELITE MISS AMERICAN PRIDE OR AMERICAN BEAUTY.........ELITE MISS GRAYSON COUNTY COURTS
  2. YOU MUST HAVE BEEN IN INVOLVED IN ATLEAST ONE TYPE OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT.
  3. YOU MUST HAVE MADE APPEARANCES WITH YOUR TITLE.....EVENTS .....PAGEANTS........PARADES....etc
  4. IF OVER THE AGE OF FIVE YOU MUST WRITE WHAT IT HAS MEANT TO HOLD YOUR TITLE THIS PAST YEAR ON YOUR APPLICATION.
  5. YOU CAN NOT BE COMPETING IN THE PRELIM THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO WIN THE QUEEN OF QUEENS TITLE.
 
QUESTIONS: 
  • .What if I won a State Title at the State Pageant can we still apply for the Queen of Queens?

No.........I am sorry to say but, if holding a active State Title during that year you may not compete for the Queen of Queens title. Remember that you can not compete for any type of title in the Elite Miss System while holding a State title ***Just keep in mind that you can always come back and compete after you have given up your State Title. ***   They do award the Queen of Queens at the State Pageant.

  • What if I am chosen and crowned Queen of Queens what is expected of me?

This is a very special honor given to a Queen that we feel has worked hard representing her title the past year.  She has set a good example for others to follow.  Once you are crowned a Queen of Queens you are now part of the New reigning court for another year. This is another way of saying we appreciate you and thank you for your hardwork.  We only ask that you continue to make your apprearances and keep involved in your community activities. REMEMBER YOU ARE SETTING THE EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS TO FOLLOW THAT MAYBE WANTING TO RECEIVE THIS HONOR!

2008-2009 QUEEN COURT
VOLUNTEERISM & APPEARANCES
 
**The Adoptive Grandparents appreciate so much your visits, cards and calls.**
 
The Queens have been busy, busy............... busy! I am so proud of each one of you!  We all worked hard to make the Health Department Donation, Sheriff Department Donation and the 2nd Annual Adopt-A-Grandparent a hugh success!
GREAT JOB to both the Queens and Parents..................I appreciate you so  much!
 
Donation to Project Graduation at the Ashe County High School went great.  Thank you to the queens and parents that were able to take part.
 
Thursday, May  1st, 2008  We assisted at the Ashe County Volunteer Awards Ceremony at the Ashe County High School.  
 
The heart walk was a great success.  
Saturday, May 17th, 2008 .........Queens & Parents took part in the Heart  Walk. 
 
The Triple header pageant we made a donation to the VFW & DAV Members.  We also,  crowned alot of Queens.
 
 
Big THANK YOU to all the parents and Queens that took part in the Christmas in July event  Saturday, July  5th 2008.  Great Job!
 
Thanks for those that were able to take part in the Relay for Life Event on July 18th & 19th. 
 
Thank you to those Queens that took part in Walk for Life, Saturday, October 4th, 2008.
 
Thank you to those Queens that took part in the PROJECT HOPE event in December! *Donating toys for the children hospital *
*Giving out Christmas cards and caroling at our local nursing homes *
 
They really appreciated the visits and valentine cards at the nursing homes.  The children's hospital really was thankful for our thoughtfulness and generosity.     **Let's keep up the good work** 
 
The Easter Nursing Home Visit/Adopt-A-Grandparent program event was a great success.  Thank you to the Queens and your families in attendance.
 
The Easter Children surprise box for the children's hospital was appreciated very much. Thank you to those that took part.
 
Thank you to those that came out and helped at the Christmas In July Event in West Jefferson.
 
Everyone looked beautiful at the Ashe County Christmas parade on Nov. 14th. , 2009. 
 
Thanks to Queens that took part at the the Sparta, Blowing Rock and Boone parade.
 
Great job to the Queens that helped with handing out Christmas cards & Caroling at the Nursing home 12/13/09.
 
Thank you to those that come and took part in performing for the residents at Nursing home on Sat. January 23, 2010.
